Yes. Device Shield includes enterprise-grade threat detection that replaces consumer antivirus software. It's more comprehensive — combining antivirus, anti-malware, web filtering, and active monitoring by real security professionals.
Device Shield protects your computers — it's the security and monitoring layer. User Plans add Microsoft 365 licenses, identity protection, email backup, and (with Pro) unlimited remote support. Think of Device Shield as protecting the hardware, and User Plans as protecting the people.
You're billed monthly based on the number of devices and users on your plan. Plans start with a 12-month initial term, then continue month-to-month. See our Terms of Service for full details.
